If you haven't heard the news yet, our beloved Space Needle is currently undergoing the most massive renovation since it's arrival at the 1962 World's Fair. The Century Project is being is being overseen by the architecture firm Olson Kundig.

The newly updated Seattle icon will include expanded dining at SkyCity along with glass floors for diners to have a truly unique Seattle experience. Other changes include floor-to-ceiling glass on the interior and exterior of the Observation Deck. Take look at renderings and a video of the project here.

During the renovation, the Observation Deck is open year round while SkyCity Restaurant will be closed until spring of 2018.
